I also designed and created many small support apps including: data import and export systems and services, windows services to interface with other systems including a handheld device for poster installers. I recently created some MVC based web sites for proof of posting and image maintenance. At Pivotal I took part in building a web based accreditation system for financial advisors. The system used ASP.NET, VB.NET ADO.NET, SQL Server, Javascript and Crystal Reports. It was ported from an existing system written in Cold Fusion and Postgres. I was heavily involved the associated data migration. During my time at Pivotal I learned how to quickly analyse existing software and extract the business rules. I also learned the importance of a unified approach to design and implementation.
