Tim is a leading commercial and corporate partner in Chapman Tripp's financial services and funds management practices, focusing on investment products, KiwiSaver, financial adviser regulation, AML, insurance regulation, M&A, IPOs and overseas investement in New Zealand. He is recognised as a Chambers band 1 lawyer in Investment Funds. Chapman Tripp won New Zealand Large Firm of the Year in 2018, Most Innovative National Law Firm of the Year (New Zealand) at IFLR Asia Awards 2018 and many other awards. He has many governance roles, including as a director of six film production companies for 21st Century Fox. He is highly innovative, logical and practical, with a strong commercial focus, as demonstrated by the work he led on the tax structuring of the southern cross cable into the US which changed the way international cables are structured.
