Responsible for operational, implementation, new and existing business development aspects for Heartland's Hospitality products and services.

Responsible for leading up to 124 IT support and service staff including telecomm, network, infrastructure and data center operations, E-commerce activities, systems and application development. Executed against a five year Strategic Plan, created and executed an annual and three year IT Strategic Plan. Supported a campus environment, 400K sq/ft Retail DC, and 600+ storefronts. Leader of IT governance process and Steering Committee, and member of the Crisis Management Team.Accomplishments:• Directed development and integration of more than 100 restaurant, retail and corporate business applications and systems, and management of an excess of 45,000 pieces of hardware.• Developed an Enterprise Labor Management solution. • Developed centralized Theoretical Food Costing systems and an in-store Production Planning system. • Implemented a Transportation Management System.• Converted Credit Card and Gift Card processing to a new vendor.• Led Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing initiatives..• Architected dozens of Retail, HR, Restaurant, and Training technology initiatives.• Strategically developed and project managed table optimization and kitchen/production innovation initiatives that eventually led to system wide changes in how core operations were executed. • Maintained critical and store systems up times in excess of 99.99% year over year.• Strategically architected and successfully integrated and executed a forklift Point of Sale, Restaurant and Retail Back Office replacement initiative.• Re-engineered our 7/24 Contact Center and Hardware Depot maintenance programs to improve service to a 95%+ internal customer approval rating. Program saves the organization significant maintenance and operational costs.

Responsible for all restaurant information systems support, Point of Sale programming and the development for 425 unit, $700M revenue in multiple divisions. Includes all aspects of restaurant systems development, installation, implementation, and training for corporate and field as well as budgeting, financial and operational controls, personnel management for a $3M unit annual revenue. Accomplishments:• Developed and implemented applications to streamline administrative functions and provide better cost controls for food and labor. Led to G&A reductions of 20%.• With the upgrade of the existing DOS POS systems to UNIX, helped to eliminate field administrative positions and costs associated with increasing equipment maintenance.• Ideal food cost and labor productivity enhancements provided store management with tools to reduce and control food cost, increase sales through enhancements to virtually all period sales, mix, and operating reporting, and decrease labor through better control of hourly productivity. Estimated average annual savings of $60K per store would lead to a contribution to profit of approximately $2 million.• Corporate subsystems development of distributed LAN based ideal food cost, inventory, and menu-mix provided for needed controls and business intelligence for data analysis.
