Working at the PUD has been both engaging and challenging. During my time here, I have done everything from strategic planning to survey development and statistical analysis. Here are a few things I have done while working as a management intern here at the PUD:-Survey development, administration, and analysis (Department-wide Employee Wellness Survey)-Presenting findings from various projects to the Executive Team-Developing and facilitating strategic planning workshops-Conducting optimization/efficiency studies-Conducting interviews and facilitating focus groups-Project manager for the implementation of smart technology-Training and development

- Completion of rigorous coursework in many areas of the I/O field, including advanced statistics, psychological testing and measurement, personnel psychology and organizational psychology. - Engaging in research, including thesis work that will examine multinational patterns in changing work values such as the work ethic, work centrality, and intrinsic/extrinsic values of employees during the last two decades. - Academic writing, such as a grant proposal recently submitted to Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM). - Employed as a teaching assistant for undergraduate psychology courses in advanced research methodology. - Participating in a research lab that focuses on important I/O concepts such as employee satisfaction, organizational commitment, work/life balance, and Person-Environment fit. - Collaborating to complete various projects with San Diego-area companies such as Qualcomm, Takelessons, and Illumina.
