As a nonprofit professional and research analyst, I am a dedicated person with the belief that all people deserve healthy communities. My experience in child welfare has given me a deep understanding of the complex issues including sustainable and affordable housing. I am dedicated to research solutions related to poverty, child welfare, racial and economic justice. I have a background in statistical analysis and evaluating research methods.My unique combination of child welfare expertise and research skills makes me a valuable asset. I possess expertise in public policies and research methodologies, allowing me to contribute to the development of evidence based solutions. I have demonstrated expertise in developing strategies to improve outcomes for these populations. I have analyzed and interpreted complex data sets to identify trends and patterns that inform policy development. I graduated from Georgetown University with a Masters in Policy Management. While I was studying, I completed a number of policy briefs, memos, and research papers. My final research project explores the lack of availability and access to oral health care services for children in the New York City foster care system. I addressed the barriers and proposed an alternative to increase children’s access to dental care by building partnerships with local dentistry schools. My courses at Georgetown University have prepared me to strategically problem solve and design management deliverables. In partnership with my education, I am a National Urban Fellow. National Urban Fellows seek to develop professionals particularly people of color and women to commit to social justice and equity.
