Play as the focal person to monitor certain key machine's performance 1> Shortlist update MPC(Material Planning Dep) update the MMP and release LOT#PR (Purchasing Requisition)as the MPS(Master Planning Schedule) from Sales Dep. Full BOM(Bill of Material) of the machine as well as the SP/SPM/UGK will be included in the list. of which we can see the production plan in few months. The EM/IM/Bonder material request date, the machine shipping date as well as the quantity we need per week, all clearly shown out. Analysis the list then find out which parts cannot arrive by request, send out to buyers to follow up. Buyers would check the best delivery date asap( For those parts vendor cannot pull in to our request date, choose to spot buy/seek for replacement,etc)2>VMI(Vendor Managed Inventory)Performance Analysis After reviewing vendor's overall performance, assign VMI vendors for those parts with regular demand. Vendors keep extra buffer by the monthly forecast ASM provided per month end. PUR keep monitor vendor's VMI performance per month so as to mitigate the risk and to secure the smooth operation of production line, during which PUR can also adjust VMI to face the changes of the market.3>Risk Mitigation To mitigate the risk, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze the full BOM and judge out the critical parts(Long Lead Time,Single Source,Poor VMI Performance,Always in shortlist...). It can be also extracted from the analysis to the VMI performance. Those parts that failed VMI commitment continuously may also call for the attention. Then communicate with MPC to see if need risk buy/keep safty stock ahead in case of any ramp up4>Cost Down Think twice before placing orders. At least 3 quotations are needed for comparison and contrast. Put forward the cost down request regularly. Negotiate by raising up our EAU and assign VMI vendor if necesary, which is less risky
