Tina is the landscape architect behind the National Capital Floral Experience, guiding the creation of year-round floral spectacles in the Capital, including the renowned Canadian Tulip Festival, celebrated as one of the world's largest tulip displays in public parkland. Recognizing the significance of the Floral Experience in embodying national pride and Canadian values for both local communities and international visitors, Tina was honored to be inducted into the World Order of the Tulip at the World Tulip Summit in Den Hague in 2019.In addition to her contributions to the Floral Experience, Tina finds fulfillment in her involvement with various initiatives, such as the Winter Lights Across Canada program and projects focused on national commemorations, sustainable design, and historical landscape preservation. Collaborating with government agencies, national partners, and foreign embassies, Tina strives to craft immersive sensory floral experiences throughout the National Capital Region (NCR).Driven by a genuine passion for Indigenous ethnobotany, environmental sustainability, and traditional wisdom, Tina incorporates these values into her designs. She believes in the power of sensible, inclusive, and educational environmental design to foster genuine reconciliation and meaningful place-making.Recognized for her expertise, in representing the NCC, Tina assumed the role of National Judge at Communities in Bloom (CiB) in 2016, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering civil pride, environmental responsibility, and heritage conservation across Canada.
