Train school personnel in the Olweus school wide Bullying Prevention Program, facilitate community outreach, and provide ongoing support for program implementation.

Participate in a collaborative parent-professional partnership, which builds protective factors using a multi-family group process (for pre-school, elementary and middle school youth, ages 3-14) to reduce risk for alcohol and other drug abuse, school failure, and juvenile delinquency.

Train early childhood educators in different areas of child development.

Developed, implemented, and managed a tutoring and mentoring program designed specifically to meet the needs of children in the Maricopa County foster care system. Annually recruited, screened and trained over 100 volunteers from the community. Expanded the program from 10 volunteers to 100 by developing community partnerships with organizations such as; Bank of America, The Vanguard Group, City of Scottsdale, and many local faith based organizations.Recruited and screened children from the foster care system to participate in the tutor/mentor program. Established partnerships with CPS, licensing agencies, and group homes to recruit children to participate in the tutor/mentor program.Provides case management services such as: on going resource development for mentors and mentees, baseline assessments for children and youth in the program, and the development Individual Service Plans to establish and monitor youth and program goals. Planed and implemented special activities to support the mentors and children, such as; a summer reading program, monthly mentor/mentee activities, and holiday parties. Planed and facilitated quarterly in-service training sessions for volunteers based on input solicited from the volunteers.Regularly reviewed and updated training materials.Developed or modified curriculum tools to be used by tutor/mentors to help youth achieve educational goals established in the Individual Service Plan.

Worked as part of a team to provide services, recommendations, and monitoring to families in the process of family reunification.Successfully managed a 15-client caseload. Conducted assessments with CPS Case Manager and Family Support Specialist in order to develop a case plan for family reunification or stabilization. On a weekly basis and as needed provided family counseling, individual counseling, and intervention and prevention education on co-dependency, domestic violence, and trauma. Worked as a team with other service professional involved in the case including therapists, teachers, and DES and CPS case mangers. Wrote weekly reports regarding counseling sessions for CPS and other state agencies representatives for the purpose of tracking services and client progress and making recommendation for reunification and family stabilization.
