Co-ordinate the emergency department which includes:• Administration duties for 21 doctors and 8 emergency department consultants. Including arranging rotas, wages, study leave and sorting locum cover with external agencies and staff bank as required.• Log and report ED breaches, input of ambulance data and x-ray reporting• Arranging ATLS course twice a year which includes all logistics, venues, accommodation, dinner and course publications. Also invigilating at MCQ exams• Dealing with police statements and solicitor claims• Cover for ED secretary whilst away on annual leave

A & E reception duties include: Receiving and booking-in patients which includes either admittance to ward or discharging home Taking A & E telephone enquiries Scanning, faxing and photocopying of patient notes for GP's and other hospital departments Making appointments for various clinics within the hospital Liaison with different members of the community including Police, Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses and the general public March 2007 - attended Equality and Diversity Course

All basic nursing care to patients Assisting doctor's with medical procedures Phlebotomy Stocking drugs cabinet Restocking treatment areas and ward with necessary equipment Assisting visiting relatives Basic Computer input including inputting /patients blood results Answering and redirecting calls to the ward; - Career Break to become a mum; office is closed no other address available
