Leads and develops an internal team to support finance, business planning and budgeting. Responsible for ensuring that financial procedures are carried out properly. Regularly evaluates finance policies and procedures to maximize and strengthen the company's internal capacity.

Responsible for direct financial activities and coordinating the accounting, reporting, fund distribution analysis and cash management of United Way of Russell and Washington Counties.

• Serve as a United Way spokesperson, conveying the needs of the community, specifically in the area of community impact.• Manage all internal and external branding efforts.• Manage and maintain relationships with key media professionals to ensure year round support and assistance to promote the United Way and its programs to the community.• Create high visibility for United Way through special events and focused public relations efforts.• Develop and implement strategic communications messages and tools.• Oversee the planning and organizing of special events including Week of Caring, Kickoff Event, Agency Yard Sale, Pillar Reception, and Annual Awards Luncheon.• Oversee the development of all organizational materials (brochures, posters, newsletters, pledge forms, etc.), videos, and website to ensure consistent message delivery.• Develop yearly marketing plan and budget and monitor expenditures to stay within established budgetary constraints.• Maximize contributions within the existing donor base through the development and implementation of effective marketing and communication strategies and techniques.• Organize and manage the annual campaign within assigned geographical and/or divisional areas, establishing specific goals, timelines, and strategies for each area and/or division.• Collaborate with CEO, review previous campaign performance and giving histories, possible areas for improvement or increase, local economic conditions and other relevant information to help determine realistic, yet growth-oriented fundraising potentials.

• Develop and oversee United Way grant application process.• Interface with institutional and agency representatives and individual community leaders/residents to ensure broad-based support of community initiatives.• Writes, prints and prepares campaign letters for mailings.• Meeting preparation: scheduling participants, reserving conference rooms, ordering food, and preparing materials for meetings. • Maintains campaign accounting of cash, pledges, payroll deductions and designations using Donation Tracker campaign software.• Oversees agency quarterly reports, applications of funding requests, agency allocation process, meetings and events.• Assists with the planning and implementation of all United Way events.• Responsible for the development of all organizational materials (brochures, posters, newsletters, pledge forms, annual reports, etc.), videos and website content to ensure consistent message delivery.• Assists with workforce campaigns as needed.• Helps recruit volunteers.• Job related travel to designated meetings and events throughout the community.
