The Comfort Cub is the world's first therapeutic weighted bear. It was created after the inventor experienced the deep pain from the loss of her infant son from a genetic disorder. During that grieving period, she realized that cradling a weighted object helped ease the pain in her heart (medically known as Takotsubo Syndrome, - which mimics the symptoms of a heart attack). One year after her son died, she welcomed the first Comfort Cub. Initially the cub was distributed to other neonatal wards in the San Diego area so mothers of infant loss did not have to leave the hospital with empty arms as she did.Today the Comfort Cub has come to the aid of horrible national tragedies (2012 Sandy Hook, 2017 Ls Vegas, 2019 Chabad of Poway) as well as to individuals, comforting families and loved ones in their time of grief. As operations manager my responsibilities include:* Creation of a new website which encompasses the Cub shop, donation page and blog* Marketing and social media management* On-boarding our new ambassadors* Fundraising (working with Target Circle, Facebook, #GivingTuesday)* Customer database management* Customer service* Order fulfillmentFor questions about the Comfort Cub email us at info@thecomfortcub.org
