About Tina Rogers
I have over 15 years of experience working in the care sector. Currently, I work as the Harlow Branch Manager for London Care, where I lead a team of approximately 40 staff, delivering person centered care in the community to a diverse range of service users. I am passionate about the care industry and strive to give the best service I can at all times consistently going the extra mile, I am lucky that I have the support of a great team to enable me to do this. I'm deeply passionate about creating a fair working environment where my staff are free to approach me with any questions or concerns they have, and enabling them to get the training and support they need to do their roles effectively.I am fortunate that I have seen the care sector from a variety of positions as a care worker to a co-ordinator and most recently the branch manager, having worked my way up I know at times it is tough and support my staff in whatever they need to achieve their goals.Prior to my care sector role I worked for a local family run mini-bus company as both a driver and passenger escort for young children with a variety of needs from diverse backgrounds. This along with my stint at Mecca Bingo was the trigger that made me want to transition to a career in the care industry full time and felt like the next logical step.I love my job tremendously but I also live for the down time with my young family - spending time with my partner, two daughters and two dogs! Those that know me will tell you that I love to meet new people for a cup of tea. Feel free to reach out on here or drop me an email tinachilds17@gmail.com.

Senior Client Care Co-Ordinator/Deputy Manager
I originally started with London Care as a Care Worker for two years before taking a Co-ordinator role within the office. While I was a Care Worker, I also studied to obtain my NVQ 2, supported by the company. Starting as a Client Care Co-Ordinator initially I was quick to learn the role and was fast tracked to the Senior Client Care Co-Ordinator position due to my ability to understand the needs and requirements of our service users, as well as the local geography to build robust rounds ensuring continuity of service for our users. Day to day I was co-ordinating rounds which involves allocating service users to carers, handling queries that arise such as contacting the local councils, GPs and Occupational Therapists. I made it my objective to meet all of our service users and understand their requirements to ensure they get the best service from the branch. As part of the co-ordinating role I currently use a bespoke system tailored to London Care called People Planner, prior to this I have used with ease the LCAS system. As well as being the Senior Co-ordinator within the office, I was also the deputy manager who assumed the management duties when the manager was away - making key decisions and handling complaints and issues as well as liaising with local authorities and regulators such as the CQC when required.I was also a line manager to a team of 12 Care Workers, part of the responsibilities attached to this role saw me handling the disciplinary meetings and supervisions. In 2013 I self funded and passed my NVQ level 3 while working as the Senior Co-ordinator in 6 months.
Driver And Passenger Escort
This role saw me transport to and from school a variety of different children, including those with a variety of additional needs. In addition to driving for the company I also worked as a passenger escort when needed, as every school bus requires an escort present with the drivers.
Customer Assistant
I worked in the graphics department making legal and illegal (show plates) number plates. This involved checking the legal documents were present and correct as well as copying the documentation, while getting the customers to sign the relevant legal disclaimers. As well as this, I also designed and made stickers for cars and vans, both commercial and private, using the SignLab software.
Customer Assistant
This role saw me interacting with customers on the front desk taking their orders, putting them through the computer system, and picking them for the customer. If the parts were unavailable I would also follow up with the customer when they were in to arrange a time for them to pick them up. This is where I also began designing car graphics and making number plates. I was also involved in the stock taking process.
Supervisor
During this time I started off as a cashier on cash-line which involved handling money on a one to one interaction with customers as well as distributing prize money, as well as this I was also a Caller for the cash-line bingo segment. During my time I experienced working in the catering department for a few months preparing food, serving customers and taking money over the till. In the last year and a half at Mecca, I worked in the book sales team quickly becoming a Supervisor. I calculated the total value of the books sold and prize money for all the different games that were played.
