Won two prestigious awards and $35,000. Certified Platinum LEED. Recycled building materials, low- and no-toxic finishes, Passive House, super energy-efficient. All-electric, 100% solar-powered. Sustainably-harvested wood from local, indigenous/tribal-owned company. Permaculture landscaping. * Designed global training curriculum revision and development process for network of certified trainers in 23 countries. * Led international team to implement cross-cultural consultation that included the first global conversations about unconscious biases and patterns of colonialism embedded in the pedagogy of the global Transition movement.* Authored 65-page curriculum framework with seven flexible tools for adapting the training to diverse communities, while also identifying principles, practices, and methods for increasing consistency in training delivery.

In 2005, the "Transition Town" model launched a global movement to "transition" communities to lower dependency on fossil fuels, increase local food and community resiliency, and build a stronger local, sustainable economy. As "the leading global trainer", I engaged, trained, and supported teams of local leaders to initiate community-based projects that increase collaboration, grow local economic and practical resilience, and reduce dependency on polluting energy and products.• Trained and supported 2,900+ citizen leaders in 220+ U.S. & Canadian communities.• Trainer for 79 official courses in U.S., Canada, Europe, and online.• 240+ Presentations for municipal associations, colleges & universities, faith communities, town halls, libraries, social service agencies, schools, conference keynotes, workshops, union halls, business networks, citizen organizations in North America and Europe.• Created & delivered first REconomy fundraising & resource development online course.• Facilitated & drafted first worldwide Training Curriculum, which was translated into five languages.I continue to lead workshops and provide support to community leaders, by request.

* At request of a Clean Water Action funder, I conducted a six-month scoping project for national environmental foundations.* Interviewed 72 prominent U.S. religious leaders: Evangelical, Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and other faith leaders. * Researched and connected with leaders in marginalized populations and communities of color. Ensured that one-third of leaders interviewed were from marginalized communities.* Wrote and delivered report at the annual meeting of the Environmental Grantmakers Association to a very engaged, standing room-only crowd. * Report was out-of-print in three weeks.
