Springbank School was founded in 1996 by Sophia and Bob Warren who had a vision of offering children across Northland the highest quality learning experience, focused on success. Over the past 28 years, Springbank has attracted students from all walks of life, who all share the common goal of wanting to grow and develop their personal capability in a fun, social, and supportive atmosphere.This simple focus, combined with high quality teaching staff and significant re-investment, has allowed Springbank to grow steadily over time. In my Implementation Manager role I am accountable for the management and successful delivery of projects and initiatives that support the business objectives and goals of the Customer division. I am also fortunate to be in the scrum master role for our Customer / Operations squad as we bring our two companies, people, processes, systems and products, together from Sovereign to AIA NZ. I enjoy contributing to our new future in this fast moving, high intensity Agile environment. Agile methodology is definitely a newfound passion that I continue to develop, learn and grow as we implement it at AIA as our preferred project management approach. Utilising Agile methodology in an operations environment has seen us, as a squad, achieve amazing results as we continue to trust and learn the principles.

My role was to:• assess and manage all claims in a timely, positive, innovative and empathetic manner, whilst working proactively with clients to develop mutual goals and achieve sustainable work outcomes • Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as ACC, medical professionals, employers and financial providers• Develop and implementing appropriate rehabilitation plans for claimants• Support, coach and mentor other team members to develop their knowledge and skills in wider the Claims department• Continuous improvement of the Claims process and documentation

Initiated the concept of embedding financial literacy across the school curriculum. Contacted the Commission for Financial Capability to help develop the concept by providing 2 years of funding for a facilitator, research provider (Malatest International), staff professional development days and a website to enable the sharing of resources, stories with the schools involved. Recruited a group of primary, intermediate, secondary schools and Massey University to become involved in the initiative. The Upper Harbour Cluster is made up of nine institutions including primary and secondary schools and one university, which share the vision of “financially fluent students, teachers and parents”.

Developing and delivering programmes to provide training for Financial Risk Advisers in NZ, and internationally. This training is delivered in a blended format of e-modules, webinars, face to face seminars and one on one or group coaching.Project team member implementing a new division in the company to provide learning and development opportunities to all professionals (initially targeting NZ, Australia and the UK) who require CPD credits or hours to maintain their professional status.Providing support in the development of the IT advice platform through the design and editing of the various artefacts using Ecrion. Also develop, manage and analyse all the assistive technology support on the Risk platform using Walk Me software.

Development of school culture and the implementation of restorative practices throughout the school, including designing and leading the professional development of the staff.Leadership of our EOTC programme including the developed of the EOTC guidelines, policy and various RAMs form. Established and led camps at each year level and also various leadership camp opportunities. Other administrative roles: Acting Principal, day to day operations, staff relief, staff appraisal, competency programmes, mediation for staff and parents, staff development and mentoring, leading the Guidance team including counsellors, nurse, whanau and assistant whanau leaders.
