In my role, I am responsible for training new sales staff on Salesforce.com & Apttus. I work closely with our IT team on review, preparation and testing for all CRM & quoting tool changes. I update customer portals as changes are required. Prepare published price lists for the commercial channels of our business, including distributors and direct customers, as well as, create and provide any files required to help our customers stay updated with our product offerings. I am a major contributor from the sales side in design requirements, data preparation, testing and training for implementation of our CRM changes & quoting tools.

I managed the administrative team responsible for supporting various functions across internal and external sales teams. My original focus in this role was to review the talent, skill sets and processes in place. After gaining understanding of all requirements requested, and common shortfalls, I worked with my team to shift responsibilities to match the strength and support each could provide successfully. As my team settled into a solid and independent administrative team I turned my focus back to our business system needs. I split my last year in this role as the Sales Administration Manager, and as a major sales contributor in design requirements, data preparation, testing & training for implementation of our CRM system, SalesForce.com and original integrated quoting tool, BigMachines.

As Precor's commercial business continued to grow, I officially moved to the Business Analyst role, focusing on quoting tool and contact management systems and support. My experience with the sales team's needs, gave the Inside Sales Manager, Regional Business Managers & Commercial Sales Directors a confidence in my input to work with contractors to design, support and train to our new systems.

As Precor's acquisitions in the commercial market grew, so did our sales teams. I was promoted at this time to supervise the inside sales team supporting our direct sales team.

My transition from customer service to inside sales was a natural step in my career path at Precor. My previous roles in production and service put me in a great position to showcase my knowledge of our products. This allowed me to focus on learning the sales side of the business. My new managers and co-workers continued to encourage my growth as I became a valued member of our inside sales team.
