More than two decades experience in social marketing, health communications, campaign development, media relations and public affairs. As a Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Social Impact Media at KFF, a leading national non-profit dedicated to providing trusted health information, I develop and lead large-scale health and social issues campaigns with media, corporate partners, government agencies and health departments, and foundations, among others. My work has been recognized with 8 Emmys, 2 Peabody Awards, and a National Academy of TV Arts & Sciences Governor’s Award.I created and direct KFF's Greater Than public information initiatives, which include the Greater Than HIV and Greater Than COVID campaigns. Through tailored media campaigns and community engagement, we provide accurate, accessible information to help individuals take charge of their health. The Conversation. Between Us About Us, a Greater Than COVID campaign launched in 2021, worked with leading digital media partners (Meta, Google/YouTube, Pinterest, among others) to dispel misinformation and address information needs about the vaccines during a critical time in the pandemic.Also at KFF, I developed and produced several high-profile media partnerships, including It’s Your (Sex) Life (MTV); GYT: Get Yourself Tested (MTV, CDC, Planned Parenthood); Rap it Up (BET); KNOW HIV/AIDS, (Viacom and CBS Corporation); Enterate/Protegate and Soy… (Univision); and PAUSE (Fox Broadcasting Network). In 2004, I played an instrumental role in the creation and launch of the Global Media AIDS Initiative, a United Nations initiative to mobilize media in response to the global pandemic, supporting the development of regional coalitions in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe and South America. I have produced several large research projects, including a multi-part study looking at the state of public service advertising and content analyses and impact studies of popular media, as well as numerous public opinion research surveys and focus groups.Prior to joining KFF, I worked in public affairs in Washington, DC focusing on health care and education.
