A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I am now a full-time business professor of Leadership and Human Resource Management courses at Trident University. I also teach marketing online for Purdue University Global Campus, Northern State University, and Columbia College. I see online course delivery as the way of the future for busy adults as they reinvent themselves for the challenges of the 21st Century global economy. In addition to my current full-time faculty role with Trident University, my past higher education experience includes Department Chair of Leadership at Trident University International, Associate Dean of General Education (math & natural science) and Business at Mid-State Technical College, Campus Dean at Strayer University's Milwaukee campus and Associate Campus Dean at its Jackson, MS, campus. As Dean, I was responsible for the delivery of quality curricula and maintaining academic integrity; faculty recruitment, faculty training, faculty development, and evaluating instructors; ensuring academic standards and quality customer service for students; development of community outreach partnerships; and student advising and retention management. At Marco Polo International University, I was the School of Business Dean prior to the VP of Academic Affairs. I developed course content for 8 bachelor degrees and 7 masters’ degrees. These 15 degrees were in the Human Resources, Leadership, Business Ethics, Marketing, Management, Executive Business Management, Production and Quality Control, and Operations disciplines. As VPAA, I was responsible for the creation of an Academic Advisory Board which consisted of PhD-holders from global universities. In addition, I oversaw faculty recruitment and development activities, new faculty orientation and training, academic reviews of all programs, and developed a comprehensive Academic Policies and Procedures Manual.
