If you need a speaker, who will mobilize people to take action in their faith, Tina Baker is a bundle of energy and focus. Tina Baker has been transformed in her life through her deep faith. She dedicates her life today to lifting up and inspiring women to discover a passion for God. During her journey, she realized she had a gift for public speaking. This year she set fire to the East Ohio Conference for the United Methodist Church by giving the laity address on June 18th. This address was held in Hoover Auditorium and was delivered to 1,800+ clergy and laity representing 720 churches. As her representative, I was there to witness this and I can concur that she truly was on fire in the same way I've heard Beth Moore and even Norman Vincent Peale speak. She received a standing ovation and for a time the bishop asked for a period to reflect and absorb what she shared. Please view her video below to see what I mean. She is a cancer survivor—she is an athlete—she is the mother of four—Tina is well supported in her call to the church by her loving husband, Matt Baker. She has endured many trials and tribulations before she discovered her deep faith in God. She inspires others about how to raise children; strengthen a marriage; teach self-confidence and faith to children; create a spirit of inclusion and openness as we attract new members to our respective churches. She has an infectious laughter and light-hearted spirit as she engages with men and women in the work of the church. She is loving, forgiving, and naturally engages other people positively to share her call to service. She has touched the lives of women of all ages, is sought after as a speaker by women of all races, and has a moving message for women of all economic situations. And she is always willing to roll up her sleeves to do what needs to be done.
