Executive Director
CurrentTina Meier is the Founder and Executive Director of the Megan Meier Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. On October 16, 2006, Tina’s life was turned upside down whenher daughter, Megan Meier took her own life. Megan was in the 8th grade and just weeks shy of her 14th birthday. She had her whole life ahead of her, but tragicallywas cyber bullied and part of a MySpace hoax that involved an adult neighbor that lived just 4 houses down the street. Tina Meier worked closely with SenatorScott Rupp and former Governor Matt Blunt’s Internet Task Force for the State of Missouri to help pass Senate Bill 818, which went into law on August 28, 2008. It is from this tragedy that Tina travels across the country advocating the issues of internet safety, along with Megan's story. The foundation strives to help create a world in which bullying and cyberbullying are non-existent, through our presentations, workshops, and counseling services.
