Co-authored Building Preservation Guide for the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building, a management and planning tool for the Architect of the Capitol. Conducted research in multiple archival repositories and field assessment of significant interior spaces. Drafted building timeline. Inventoried spaces and features. Assisted in advising client on approach to historic building zones for 1.5 million SF library, office, and memorial.Assisted with leak investigations at the GSA's Ronald Reagan Building.Developed multiple permit set drawings for major renovation of a 4,950 SF private residence contributing to the Capitol Hill Historic District. Developed and honed expertise in restoring, revitalizing, and transforming existing and historic places -- to ground, sustain, and inspire future generations. Clients included federal, state, and city agencies; private non-profit cultural institutions; colleges and universities; and American and foreign diplomatic representatives. Recent projects include the restoration of the historic Andrew W. Mellon Memorial Fountain and park in Washington, DC; the limestone facades of the Amtrak Station, Providence, RI; roof repairs for the iconic Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building; the transformation of a former Army Ordnance barracks into dormitories for seasonal employees at the Sandy Hook unit of Gateway National Recreation Area in Highlands, NJ; and several historic preservation consulting efforts for the U.S. General Services Administration.Past projects include the Rehabilitation of Eastern Market on Capitol Hill; several schools for DC Public Schools; adaptive reuse studies for multiple buildings at St Elizabeths West Campus, Washington DC; an office design at the Charles Carroll House of Annapolis, Maryland; the exterior restoration of the Loudoun County Courthouse, Leesberg, Virginia; and the LEED Gold renovation of the Dana Building at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.Other work included conditions assessments, programming and space studies at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD; the separation of the former Independence Living History Center at Independence National Historic Site in Philadelphia, PA; and the preservation plan and LEED documentation for the restoration of the National Academy of Sciences historic headquarters designed by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue and completed in 1924. Additionally, the Renovation of the French Ambassador's Residence in Washington, DC; a fire protection study for Evergreen Museum and Library at Johns Hopkins University; and a historic structures report for a large diplomatic residence in Paris, France.

30+ Cities In France

As the 2009 Fellow, Tina spent six months in France investigating the intersection of historic preservation and sustainable design. Her research extended to 30 different cities and engaged chief architects of historic monuments, design review officials, government leaders, engineers, and other design professionals. A glimpse of these experiences can be found on her blog: http://rmhf2009.com Since returning to the US, Tina has been expanding the Franco-American exchange by presenting to local and national groups. An essay reflecting on six key concepts for Sustainable Preservation was published in the Fall 2013 Forum Journal.
