I am passionate about education and desire to see big changes in teaching methodology and education’s reach. That is why a career in the education technology industry is ideal for me. I recently completed my MBA at Santa Clara University to facilitate my transition to this new career. I am now seeking a position as a program manager in the education technology field. My background in tax has provided me with a great foundation for my future career goals. I developed my analytical skills, research skills and gained over ten years of experience working in a professional atmosphere. In my tax roles, time and again I found myself taking on the additional tasks of implementing software programs, developing curricula and teaching new software and systems to my coworkers. I also gravitated toward roles coordinating, organizing, and assigning the tax compliance process. Both of these roles were natural for me because they utilized my skills in program facilitation and management. I was drawn to these unusual roles for a tax specialist because I get excited about successful execution and outcomes and because others view me as someone with the ability to create, implement and teach successfully and enthusiastically.I enjoy working with teams of different people with varying experiences and I love to ignite excitement toward education and making it a better experience for students, teachers and partners alike.
