Leading the technology development and business positioning of Seavolt, a new technology to enable PV technology in harsh offshore environments.

As head of Offshore I am responsible for all offshore energy activities within Tractebel Global Power. Focusing on the energy transition in the offshore world, we do not only contribute to the successful initiation and completion of all kinds of offshore wind farms and associated infrastructures, but also pave the way for new technologies to enter like offshore H2 production, offshore solar PV deployment, energy storage, etc.

Initiator and coordinator of the Seavolt technology development (started as MPVAQUA project) - an innovative technology to take solar energy to an offshore environment. Partners in the project are: Tractebel (coordinator) - Jan De Nul - DEME - UGENT Funded from VLAIO, supported by Blue Cluster

As a Project Engineer and Project Manager, I was involved in different renewable technologies like on- and offshore wind, Photovoltaic, Concentrated solar thermal power, marine and wave power, etc. I have experience in the development, procurement and construction of renewable projects in amongst others Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Thailand and Chile. As a project manager of one of the first projects on Concentrated Solar Power within Tractebel Engineering, I am used to deal with the challenges of an emerging technology. I was recently product manager (interim) of the Offshore and Marine Technology Product and in the context of different offshore projects I was Project Coordinator (ex. Mermaid project in Belgium for Electrabel and in the context of the French call for tender for the partenership GDF SUEZ – VINCI Concessions).
