Current- Providing leadership for the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) function at TechnoServe (covering 80+ projects, in 29 country offices, 300,000+ clients, ~$100M annual revenue size). Projects include traditional development implementation (USAID) as well as corporate ESG and supply chain projects (e.g. Cargill, Nespresso, AngloAmerican, Walmart, and Unilever).- Supervising a team of 3 Senior MEL Managers that ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency, across the global portfolio through setting practice area standards for indicators, data processes, and managing MEL operations. The team backstops project-level staff, provides capacity building, and leads external evaluations and research partnerships. - Founded a “MEL Tech” unit of 3-4 Data Scientists tasked with transitioning TechnoServe diverse global portfolio into a standardized data reporting and management platform. Institutionalized policies on data verification, and data privacy and security policies to ensure integrity of all reported results. Monitored and piloted emergent technologies (e.g. using AI to automate smallholder farmer submitted compliance photos). Replaced manual performance monitoring systems with live dashboard views of project results.- Leading TechnoServe’s Corporate Measurement program for aggregating, analyzing, and reporting global KPI across all projects. Overhauled and expanded KPI system in response to new corporate strategy,, improving alignment to global standards.- Collaborated with TechnoServe’s nascent Generative Business team to integrate carbon mitigation, land under regenerative management, living income and other regen indicators across the portfolio, inline with MRV best practices and global standard-setting organizations.
