A passionate educator dedicated to advancing biomedical science research and education.I worked as a scientist at the National Institutes of Health in the United States before moving to Hong Kong in 2011. My works at NIH were recognized by the NIH Merit Award, The NIH Fellows Award for Research Excellence and young scholar awards from American Association for Cancer Research and the American Nanomedicine Society. As for my University position, I have secured more than 24.8 million HKD in competitive funding, including General Research Funds (GRF), Collaborative Research Fund (CRF), Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) and Innovation and Technology Commission Funding Schemes (ITCFS). The research work has generated 131 publications with over 6500 citations (H-index 45). To facilitate benchside to bedside translation, I founded EggLogics in 2018 to develop "EggCellent" technology for improving fertility treatment success rate. EggBoost increases the quality and quantity of usable eggs for in vitro fertilization, while EggCheck provides a quick gene-based egg quality assessment for IVF and egg-freezing customers.
