I am an elected Member of Parliament in Singapore since 2011. In my 3rd term now, I concurrently serve as the Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Digital Development & Information (also includes Smart Nation & Digital Government), and a member of the GPC for Trade & Industry and Finance. I am interested in diverse topics and actively championed issues pertaining to public healthcare, elderly, youth, women and digital economy/ smart nation. Served 4.5 years as the CEO and now a Board Member of Business China, a Singapore CLG/non-profit org that harnesses the support of public sector and private enterprises to cultivate Singapore-China-savvy bilingual & bicultural talents, strengthen Singapore-China networks, and to grow the global connectivity of Singapore. We have a premium network across >22 industries. Offering several high-impact programmes, we have an increased focus on the digital and future economy in recent times. Prior to Business China, I have experience in corporate strategy for a group of regional companies offering FinTech solutions, secured data handling, and smart technology. I also had years of experience in corporate strategy, organization excellence, industry studies, channel strategy, competency framework, business process reviews and transformation change management for large-sized clients as a business and management consultant.I hold a Master of Business Administration from the leading business school of the University of Chicago (Chicago Booth), and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) (University Scholars Programme) from the National University of Singapore. Curious and active from young, I participated in many academic and extracurricular programmes and competitions, such as NTU's Technology & Engineering Research Programme in 2000 where I received merit prize. Still a believer of lifelong learning, I continue seeking out new skills and knowledge through online courses, including Applied Business Analytics, Digital Marketing and Blockchain.
