About Tinuke Adeyinka
The career journey is never linear and mine has taken interesting twists and turns I never envisioned. Today I am a country level executive with over 20 years experience in the Health Care space but currently specializing in Eye Health. I am a connector, an influencer and and advocate for Eye Health and the general eco-system. I am passionate about service, knowledge and product expansion across the continent of Africa in partnership with global organizations focused on the same. An economist by training, my journey into Eye Health Care was informed by several converging factors. Through a winding career path I acquired varied skills and experiential knowledge. Over the years I have worked across several industries in Europe and Africa. Through it all, I developed a knack for fund raising and fund development, business inception, launch and expansion from start-up into established companies. I am strong in organizational set-up and structuring for sustainability and long term growth. Eye Health initiatives have been a natural evolution as my career morphed within the Health Care Industry. My passion to build businesses has once again pushed me towards this urgent work around building systems, networks, markets and service access to the bottom of the pyramid in Africa. Eye Health affects child well-being and success in education, family livelihood and eventual economic outcomes. Eye health access can bridge the gender parity between poor and rural women empowering them to access opportunities for livelihood with just the simple access to affordable eye glasses and regular eye checks. Partner for advocacy, fund development, awareness, campaigning for greater eye health access to masses within country and across the continentโ๏ธ Promote, host and manage eye camps and other eye related community eventsโ๏ธ Partner on school and other child eye care events for check-ups, parental information and access of affordable eye wear to families at the grass roots especially targeting low income children and youthโ๏ธ Sponsorships or partnering on the development of eye programs & scholarships for youth information to drive more of them into ophthalmology, optometry & other eye care expertiseโ๏ธ The development of a repository of knowledge, annual events, innovations & initiatives to coalesce different players within the eye health care space for faster iteration & growth across the continent
