As a legal advisor at Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, I provide legal advice, support, and research to various departments and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. I also handle litigations, and correspondence with external parties, as well as prepare letters for administration of deceased estates.With more than 10 years of post admission experience as an attorney, I have developed core competencies in criminal defense law, legal writing, legal opinion, and benchmarking comparatives. I have also gained domain expertise in law enforcement and compliance in the liquor industry, having served as an assistant director at Gauteng Liquo rBoard for eight years. There, I was responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the liquor act and regulations, as well as conducting inspections, investigations, and prosecutions.I hold a B. Proc degree from University of Venda for Science and Technology, a Master of Laws degree from University of Pretoria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law from University of the Witwatersrand. I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Regenesys, with the aim of enhancing my skills and knowledge in business administration and management.My mission is to use my legal knowledge and skills to contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of municipal services and to uphold the rule of law and justice in the community.
