Tipton Housewright FAIA joined Omniplan over 40 years ago. In his role as Principal, he leads a wide variety of project types including regional retail and mixed use projects, innovative contemporary churches and higher education projects. He brings to each project a commitment to client service and through the power of design. His work is characterized by his passion for creating memorable spaces that connect with their communities.Tipton earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. He has served as President of the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and President of the Dallas Center for Architecture. Tipton was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2010. He has been an active Board Member and volunteer at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Society. Tipton has led various community planning initiatives in his north east Dallas neighborhood. He has served on the Dallas City Plan Commission for the past eight years. Tipton enjoys pro-bono design projects around the world with Engineering Ministries International. He enjoys sailing on Lake Grapevine and hopes to sail across the Atlantic someday.
