 Guided the initiation and structure of the company’s first Project Management Office (PMO) while simultaneously leading the company’s Implementations department to a streamlined project and process management system utilizing Smartsheet and Smartsheet’s premium application, Control Center. Independently negotiated and successfully installed Smartsheet Control Center in under 3 weeks and under $5,000. Proposed timeline included 3 months, $30,000 and two Smartsheet consultants. Created and implemented a best-in-class project management method leveraging Smartsheet’s automation technology including notifications, update requests, and cross-platform integrations, which optimized the company’s work management execution.

As the chairman, I am actively involved in developing, maintaining, and directing over 100 pieces of intellectual property (IP) at Termax, LLC. Lead R&D Engineer:In less than three years as an R&D Engineer, I earned a promotion to a senior lead role which I credit to my determination, leadership skills, and my ability to solve problems effectively. I quickly became the most active and involved team member, which gave way to my professional success. As a Lead Research & Development Engineer, I was tasked with leading the design and development for new products in the Termax Corporation. Additionally, I became the liaison between the Engineering department, Sales Team and Termax Customers; all while assisting other members of the team with their designs. I helped lead a growth initiative with a foundation built on training, reviewing, and guidance on key manufacturing practices with regards to product design. Key Achievements:Directed and trained all team members in product and tooling designs, while still producing my original, patented key designs for our top clients. This position involves the management all pending patent applications, as well as writing/submitting new invention disclosures.In this role, I am actively involved in every project within the Termax Engineering department.

R&D Engineer:After making great strides in my professional development, I was promoted from my position as an intern to a new position as an Engineer. I began working in tandem with the Termax Sales team and the Termax Research and Development team. During this time, I heavily assisted in designing new products and concepts as well as providing solutions to our customers, which are still in use resolving many issues they face daily. Overall summary:During this time, I committed a serious portion of my efforts to growing my professional skills within Solid-works, Plex, and Microsoft Office. I enhanced my design skills and created a number of patent-pending products. As an R&D Engineer, I truly began to grow my leadership skills and quickly became the "go-to" engineer within the Termax engineering department. Key Achievements: Patent pending on a broad spectrum of designs.Redesigned the process of Engineering Change Requests (ECR's), Manufacturing Feasibility, and FMEA procedures to function seamlessly.Independently designed and built a new, original Project Management system with the Smartsheet software.

After less than a year in the shipping department, I was promoted to an intern, thanks to my innovative thought process and strong understanding of our product line. As an Intern, I learned how to developed Product drawings and fixtures, all while designing tooling and new part designs using SolidWorks. I was heavily involved in maintaining and producing the weekly Engineering Meeting Reports with Microsoft Excel. Throughout out this time, I not only furthered my personal education in college, I also became an expert with the company's ERP system "PLEX" and our EPDM Vault software to store the company's CAD and Intellectual Property (IP). Shipping Clerk:My duties were to review that all incoming & outgoing material followed the correct procedures, to package product on time despite tight delivery time frames, all while maintaining a clean work area. I quickly learned the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, PLEX. This allowed me to train other employees and develop some core teaching skills. Overall Summary:My time as a Shipping Clerk taught me many valuable lessons about hard work. To say I worked from the ground up would be an understatement. While working in the factory, our team would move hundreds of pounds of product to either the manufacturing floor, shipping area, or inventory locations daily. This physically demanding labor helped me gain an appreciation and understanding of what it takes for our product to be manufactured. I gained great insights on how shipping warehouses operate and allowed me to propose some company specific modifications in the reception of material that are still in use nearly a decade later.

Marine Officer/Community Service Officer:As a member of the Lake Zurich Police Department, I helped provide a fun and safe environment for civilians to enjoy the local lake. My duties were to make sure all rules and regulations were enforced. During this time, I also successfully navigated traffic for local events to ensure civilian safety during travel. Overall summary:The officers at the LZPD taught me great interpersonal skills. I quickly learned how to effectively reach out to others and provide a public service, despite the police force often being taken for granted. The officers taught me how to make a quick yet fair judgement call by taking into account the law while analyzing the situation. These interactions allowed me to develop the ability to resolve most issues in most fair manner possible, which kept the safety of the public as priority number one.

Shortly after turning 18, I was promoted to a managerial position with greater responsibilities. At GameStop, I began to develop and advance my interactions with customers which allowed me to provide better customer service. Senior Game Advisor:As a manager, I performed regular inventory counts, trained new team members, ensured all monetary deposits were accurate, all while beginning my studies in college and maintaining a high sales rate. Key achievement:While our Store Manager was on vacation and I was acting manager, our team achieved highest sales numbers for the District. Later on I was offered an Assistant Manager Position, which I turned down to progress towards my educational goals.Overall summary:My first job (which I earned as a Junior in High School) was one of great personal growth. GameStop allowed me to grow from a shy and quiet high school kid to a vocal and interactive team member. Rather than existing as an average retail associate, GameStop granted me the opportunity to grow and I quickly became the top salesman not only in our store, but in the district itself. This success lead to a promotion where I began to develop my managerial skills. From opening or closing the store, to balancing the books every night or making sure that our team members and (more importantly) our customers walked in to a welcoming environment; I was able grow and begin building a solid foundation. I am grateful for GameStop and the managers who trained me, as they helped me refine crucial skills in customer service, sales, organization, and business etiquette. My time as an employee at GameStop helped shape me to become a great addition to any team.
