Provided grant writing and project management services for the organization. As Photo Permissions Coordinator, worked with the images and photos on this online reference center, identifying sources and seeking Permission to Use. As LGBTQ Page Coordinator, developed a new section on their online encyclopedia dedicated to the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer) history of African Americans and Global Africans. Also researched and wrote several encyclopedia entries for this section. BlackPast.Org is one of the premiere online reference centers for African American and African Diaspora history.

GDIA provided substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, and hepatitis prevention with at risk communities in metropolitan Denver, including the reentry population. I coordinated volunteer recruitment efforts along with supervision of volunteers. Assisted with public relations, including media and website development. Established and directed internship program. Involved in several aspects of writing: grant proposals, policy development, newsletter editor and formatter.

Led this organization providing administrative and programmatic services. Handled all aspects of grant writing, volunteer management, and program planning and implementation. Represented CWA in the community, especially on the group's several coalitions. Developed a strong volunteer pool and internship program. Led the organization in their Inclusiveness Initiative and Community Grassroots Project. Worked closely with the working board.

Starting as an intern in June 1993, advanced to Development Director, Associate Director, and then eventually, Executive Director. Grassroots organization in Denver providing the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) training in prisons and the community throughout Colorado along with a one-to-one visitation program at Denver County Jail. Directly responsible for financial management, including grant writing, fundraising, and budgets; program management; staff supervision; volunteer coordination. Developed internships as well as instituted best practices in their programming. Supervised 20 interns from several local universities, undergraduate and graduate. Also served as a certified AVP trainer volunteer.Select achievements included:*Utilized technology for all aspects of grant writing: internet foundation and programmatic research, online submissions of proposals, MS Word and Excel, email correspondence.*Significantly expanded volunteer recruitment efforts by utilizing internet technology, 2001- along with other avenues such as recruitment fairs, talks, presentations, word of mouth, etc.*100% success rate with government grants at New Foundations Nonviolence Center (NFNC), procuring the organization’s first federal and state grants for three new projects, 2003-05; 70% success rate, foundation, corporate, and church grants.*Increased NFNC annual revenues from $24,000 in 1997 to $55,000 in 2004. For FY 2004-05, approved budget was $78,000. *Directed fundraising events with silent auctions at NFNC, 1993-2005 (annual Hoedown; instituted new fall event, Just Desserts with keynote speaker).*Supervised staff, interns, and volunteers as well as worked closely with the Board: three staff, three interns, 50 volunteers.

Coordinated this graduate academic program, working with faculty, staff, students, adjunct faculty, and community activists. Worked with Iliff's development and business offices to get the program its own budget line item. Authored program’s five year anniversary report. Developed a collaborative lecture series with University of Denver's Graduate School of International Studies (now Josef Korbel School of International Studies) and American Friends Service Committee.

Worked with families, seniors, and persons with disabilities with Title XX services. Provided case management, community referrals, and needed support. Worked extensively in the community, including home visits to clients.
