About Tisa Olson

Born & raised in Anchorage, Alaska, I trained and danced competitively under Mikal Preston, at Studio 49 School of Dance beginning age 10. I studied and student-taught in a variety of subjects including tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip-hop, lyrical, & contemporary. After high school, I received my B.S. in Exercise Science & Health from the University of Idaho in 2016, where I also pursued my Basi Pilates training and a double-major in Dance.I then relocated to Arizona where I was an NBA Phoenix Suns Dancer for two seasons, and began working as a Varsity UDA Staff Instructor. I traveled on tour with Fluid Dance Conventions from 2017-2019, as the Social Media Coordinator and director of the Fluid FORCE Assistant Program. I simultaneously began free-lance teaching in Arizona, before opening my own Dance & Fitness company, Tisa Olson, LLC, in Dec. 2020. My coaching focuses on helping dancers increase strength, agility, and sport dynamics, to gain more control over their technical skills. I also assist women in weight loss, nutritional guidance, and creating healthy lifestyle changes. I offer virtual coaching, and in-person coaching when accessible. I currently reside in South Dakota, on CST.
