I am a career civil servant, working in the tax department of the Bangladesh government since 2016. Prior to joining the civil service, I was an Assistant Director at Bangladesh Bank from 2014 to 2016. However, my career began in academia as a lecturer at Dhaka International University, where I joined after graduating from the University of Dhaka in 2013. In 2021, I earned my second master's degree in international tax from Melbourne Law School at the University of Melbourne as an Australia Awards Scholar.
