Practice focused on primarily real estate related matters. Served as lead counsel on legal matters for investors and represented clients in issues ranging from conducting due diligence on real estate transactions to representing clients on litigation matters. Also worked with homeowners and assisted on over 500 foreclosure defense and short sales cases.

Coral Gables

As an associate attorney was assigned to construction litigation cases representing developers, general contractors and subcontractors in litigation matters. Served as co-counsel in preparing for bid protest hearing and securing an award of a $60 million contract. Also successfully defended client in Federal Court against claims by institutional investor that $10 million in under-performing loans needed to be purchased back by Mr. Alfonso's client. Obtained favorable settlement for client which consisted of mutual releases.
