The overall aim of this project is to increase the proportion of sexually active African American and Latino males aged 15-24, including young men who have sex with men, receiving quality sexual/reproductive health care (SRHC) inclusive of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and sexually transmitted diseases (STD) testing by adapting Project Connect to Baltimore so that is male-friendly and culturally appropriate. The objectives of this project include: 1) To conduct formative work to inform Project Connect Baltimore components; 2) To collect data for and develop the youth guide for traditional print and online applications and pilot test guide for implementation among youth-serving agencies/schools; 3) To widely market and distribute the youth guide; and 4) To evaluate the youth guide training intervention and determine whether increases are seen in sexually active male youth receiving SRHC including HIV testing. If successful, this project will advance the field of male health promotion through its use of innovative approaches and technology that are easily transferable to a variety of settings and implemented at low cost.• Performed administrative tasks in preparation for focus groups. • Translated all documents from English to Spanish for focus group discussion.• Ran 6 focus group by being the focus group moderator• Translated focus group transcriptions from Spanish to English so that the analysis portion of study could continue• Translated Male Clinic Survey, a survey created in part from feedback obtained in the focus groups as to where males 15-24 prefer to go for health services.• Updated CDC cost tracking sheet with our daily duties• Reached out to Baltimore City organizations working with youth and conducted interviews on the services they provide the youth and what avenues they sought to improve the youth’s sexual and reproductive lives. • Performed Site visits to local organization in exploratory efforts to establish Focus Group Sites.
