I worked for Atlas as a co-op program while attending Mayfield vocational school as a welder. After high school was over I was hired onto Atlas full time. I worked my way up and eventually became a team leader at the company. While there I was involved in the fabrication of large frame structures that were used to create conveyors. As the company grew we began to take the sections that we built and assemble them on location to create complete conveyor systems for the customer. We also performed routine maintenance on existing conveyors to get them into working order. The company expanded once again and I was trained to splice conveyor belts using the vulcanization process. I became the leader of the vulcanization group. As the leader I would communicate with customers to schedule belt installs and repairs. I spent 15 years working for the company and only left to better myself.
