Managing IT delivery of the Landscape application that provides consistent high school and neighborhood context information on all applicants to Higher ED admissions officers, so they can fully consider every student, no matter where they live or learn.Managing the migration of Reporting Data Warehouse (RDW) and various data marts to AWS leveraging AWS native technologies.Managing the delivery of internal reports, dashboards, and all ad-hoc data requests. Managed the implementation of Oracle Exadata and migration of important transactional, operational, and analytical databases to this new platform. As part of a very selective rotational program, I received a great opportunity to collaborate closely with following three groups within the College Board.1) Innovations and Concept Development: Participated in full innovation project life cycle to develop a College genome (similar to Pandora Internet Radio) where all colleges and universities are mapped, related, and recommended based on comprehensive list of traits. Also, worked with school counselors to develop a fee waiver management portal concept. Performed all the data analysis required to support these projects.2) AP Strategy and Program Management: The overall goal of this project was to develop strategies and accompanying tactics aimed at increasing the number of African-American students demonstrating potential for AP. As the Project lead, performed a thorough review of existing research and literature identifying barriers and interventions that impact learning in the African American students with low socio-economic status. This included literature reviews from the social, psychological and neurological realms and performing rigorous data analysis identifying hidden patterns and modeling using College Board’s and public data sources such as NAEP. Final deliverable included key strategic interventions for short term and long term that will lead to increasing participation, preparedness and participation of African American students.3) Data Science: Surveyed teachers and students to understand the likelihood of success for potential new AP courses such as AP Engineering and AP accounting. Worked with the SAT group to analyze the impact of reducing or increasing the number of free score sends with the registration. Also, gathered and analyzed data from interactive online student forums to validate if the collateral developed for assisting low income students with College application process would work or not.
