Since the January 30, 2018 announcement that the Harley-Davidson factory in Kansas City would be closing, I have been focused on engaging, retraining, and obtaining employment opportunities for the workforce. I have conducted 4 career fairs representing over 100 local employers with over 1500 open positions. I worked with these local employers to showcase the unique skills and experience the workforce has obtained over the last 21 years. I have planned and successfully executed monthly plant wide meals as well as monthly plant wide service award celebrations. I am also the manager for our cafeteria staffed by American Food and Vending. I am responsible for the training and development activities for a factory of around 1000 employees. I offer group and leadership development opportunities for one of the benchmark manufacturing plants in the automotive industry. I coordinate and deliver training and development opportunities for the workforce at the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Factory in Kansas City, Missouri, also known as World Class Kansas City. I am the lead for the Harley-Davidson Foundation in Kansas City where I work with many local 501c3 organizations. I serve on various advisory boards based on community needs and Harley-Davidson corporate objectives that align with my personal values. My priorities lie around the needs of the culture of my peers and community. I aim to develop those I am in contact with.
