Assisting second year students during practical courses in Bioinformatics

I am an assistent in a project to promote science (Bioinformatics) at high schools. Together with a collegue I would drive to a school and teach a project to 5/6 VWO.

Internship at the department of Oncology-Pathology at the Karolinska University Hospital. Research we attempted to skew a cold tumormicroenvironment to a hot immunological tumormicroenvironment using a recombinant SEMA3A-protein.

Internship at Cell Biology department at the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (NCMLS). Research goal was to selectively interfere with invasive behavior behavior of tumor cells by manipulating cell culture conditions. Techniques used: Cell culture, invasion assays, proliferation assays, western blotting, gelatin degradation quanitfication, cell migration assays.

As treasurer responsible for financial affairs of a career event with over 700 visitors and 40 visiting companies. The board also organizes workshops for students to get in touch with application procedures.
