This position is the front line of data validation for insurance regulatory reporting. I research complex issues using a variety of resources and communicate my findings both internally and externally. I validate detailed insurance investment schedules to ensure accurate investment reporting to national and international regulatory commissions including NAIC (the National Association of Insurance Commisioners), EIIOPA, and Lloyd's.My current and past duties include: * Perform analysis on financial reports for insurance companies* Create automated tests to compare accounting data to regulatory reports(NAIC, EIIOPA, Lloyds)* Stay up-to-date on bi-annual regulatory guidance changes* Maintain an open line of communication with other departments, leaders, and clients* Verify the quality of internal tools and software* Investigate, fix, and troubleshoot code base in JAVA, SQL, and Python* Participate in the interview process of prospective employees* Utilize Subversion and Git repositories to track and validate code changes* Extracting, manipulating and analyzing complex data using SQL
