We are based in Ballybane, Galway,with operations in Ballinfoile (Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre) and in Clarinbridge,Co. Galway (The SCCUL Sanctuary). A state of the art community Centre which opened its doors to the public January 2018.Here at the Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre we believe in providing our local community with the opportunity to develop and grow through the provision of facilities and the facilitation of essential services. Our state of the art Centre houses a number of meeting, sporting, and health & fitness facilities, through these facilities various groups and organisations provide essential services to the local community of Ballinfoile, Castlegar & environs.The Centre is part of an innovative partnership between, SCCUL Enterprises CLG (Managing Agent), Galway City Council (Landlords) & Croí Na Túath (Local Community Group).

The SCCUL Enterprise Centre is full to capacity with 35 companies and over 90 jobs hosted in the centre. From this hub SCCUL have developed a number of initiatives such as:The SCCUL Sanctuary, established in 2012, caters for those in our community dealing with difficult life challenges. The Sanctuary provides these members of our community with a Tailored Therapeutic Retreat Day which caters to the specific needs and wants of the client group while also encouraging peer assisted coping. www.scculsanctuary.comSCCUL’s Saol Café, is a ground breaking social inclusion café. The first of its kind in Europe, Saol Café is based in the Institute for Lifecourse & Society building on the grounds of NUI Galway. Through its pioneering approach Saol offers employment to those in our community who face a barrier to employment. The majority of Saol’s staff have faced a barrier to employment making it a truly unique environment. www.saolcafe.ieOne of SCCUL’s very first initiatives, the SCCUL Awards, has seen tremendous success of the past 5 years. Established in 2010 the awards aimed to stimulate entrepreneurial activity in Galway during a time when money was hard to come by. A yearly prize fund of €50,000 provides businesses with the opportunity they need to expand and grow. www.scculawards.ieSCCUL is delighted to announce major developments with regard to it's Bizmentors initiative. The initiative provides businesses of all shapes and sizes with free access to much needed support and knowledge from experienced business people throughout Galway City and County. Enterprise Ireland have acknowledged this and supported SCCUL to roll out a regional pilot in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
