Director, Infrastructure (2007 to 2010)Chosen to serve as member of senior-level IT management team and personally tasked with $35M annual budget supporting the design, development, and operation of all infrastructure architectures, technology roadmaps, and solutions. Spearhead design standards and process development for mission critical servers, storage, and data centers for the Americas. Ownership of 24x7 system availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery standards and functions. Accountable for $10M annual outsourcing agreement. Hold overall direction for a down-line staff of 100+ full-time and contract individuals.Slashed $3M in operating costs over a two-year period by initiating an infrastructure standardization and re-architecture project as part of outsourcing agreement.Saved $1.2M annually while leading the coordination of moving Wintel server management; all activities adhered to DOD data export regulations. Oversaw all aspects of the direction for architecture and operations spanning messaging, SAP R/3 and BW, web applications, database administration, and system monitoring. Concurrently served in a Network Manager capacity leading efforts such ash MPLS WAN connectivity and Enterprise Data Center hardware migration.
