Experimental design and use of multielectrode array (MED64 System, Panasonic) for electrophysiological elucidation of signal transduction pathways associated with detection of serum amino acid deficiency in a rodent model. Digital Image processing and analysis (Matlab) of electro-luminescent Western Blot films. Modification of data acquisition system (LabView) for stimulation of and feature detection in excitatory post synaptic potentials of APC neurons in slice preparations.

Data analysis and algorithm design for improvement of flow cytometer performance with apoptosis studies. Design of feasibility studies to gauge instrument performance and reagent/sample interaction with canine and feline samples. Modification of algorithms to optimize hemogram and WBC differential performance. Consulted with clinical trial sites regarding instrument performance. Consulted on the design and implementation of an automated data processing package to perform statistical analysis of devices under test. Developed algorithms for processing of transducer-level data, production of hemogram and three-part leukocyte differentials for focused flow impedance device and five-part differential for optical flow cytometer. Analyzed clinical trial data for instrument performance, including statistical analysis (linear regression, correlation, carryover, linearity) per U.S. FDA 510k premarket approval process. Development of embedded system level code for instrument operation, including design/implementation of hematology algorithms, protocol for communication to Laboratory Information System device, and device-side/host-side code for transmission of low-level device data through high-speed link.
