I was part of an international team for two months working on UI and functional enhancements. I was also part of the Kernel and Architecture team for nine months working on enhancements to the application's core engines. I have seen the application through two point releases, @task version 4 R8 and R9, as well as many patch.

DoxTek supplies hardware and software to implement document management solutions via scanning and optical character recognition. They have a contract with some counties in the state of Indiana to manage and archive personal and business property tax forms. Part of this contract is a custom web application interface to view, update, and report on.

I was the lead Java developer on the LMS application and helped in bringing the rest of the development team up to speed in using Java based web technologies. I have seen the application through one major commercial release, one minor commercial release, plus extensive customizations of the LMS for use by the Utah State Office of Education's CTE.

Responsibilities:Maintain Windows servers and workstations.Redesign and develop a website using standards compliant XHTML, CSS, JSP, and JSTL.Integrate the database back end to a secure, web accessible user interface using J2EE.Migrate the web site from Microsoft IIS 6 to Apache Tomcat 5.Environment:Java 1.4, J2EE, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, Servlets, XHTML, CSS.
