I love to understand the why. When I started my career, I first worked on the PPC team at a digital marketing agency in Utah. I loved being able to create something and see the results almost instantly. Once I learned Adwords, Bing Ads, and Facebook ads I transitioned from just working on the ads to also the landing pages and websites. I loved being able to change the button color or placement of the form on a landing page and see the results of that change. A/B testing was fun, but it was hard for me to explain the results and why.Now, almost ten years later, my desire to understand the why has only increased. Working at SilverOnyx I run a team of conversion scientists. Marketers who use data to make sound decisions to increase conversion rates and sales then break down test results to learn how to replicate it across other products. I always find it amazing that changing the position of a word by just three spaces can change your organic rank and sales so drastically. My desire to understand the why has become so strong that I am getting my Master's in Behavioral Economics to increase my understanding of consumer behavior.
