I joined eve sleep as part of the Exec team tasked with growing the business and driving towards profitability. Revenue was around £25m and within that we delivered 40% growth to UK revenues over 2 years and reduced EBITDA losses from £10m to £2m. Along the way we experienced fall-out from our largest shareholder being liquidated (Woodford funds) and we navigated Covid. The cost-of-living crisis, sky-high inflation and weak consumer confidence were ultimately too severe to allow the business to continue independently and the assets were acquired by Bensons for Beds.
