Role listed
Sr. Principal Scientist, Predictive Sciences
Current
Associate Director
Associate Principal Scientist
- Lead scientific development and deployment of informatics/ML solutions for the Design-Make-Test (DMT) cycle of small molecules.- Develop and apply deep generative modeling to projects across the portfolio.- Drive global chemistry strategy for deployable deep learning models in reaction informatics and QSAR- Develop courses for data upskilling of the organization
Sr. Scientist, Informatics And Machine Learning
- Leadership of cross-functional teams from chemistry and information technology to drive development of self service tools that democratize data access and integration across the organization.- Development of data pipelines for extraction of reaction data from notebooks. - Modernization of existing pipelines using cloud infrastructure and automation. - Driving progress in machine learning for reaction outcome prediction and retrosynthesis in both drug discovery and process chemistry setting- Continuous integration and deployment of in-house developed API's for chemical data processing and delivery to small molecule design tools.- Mentor to interns, Ph.D. student collaborators, post-docs and junior employees to accelerate machine learning research in high throughput reaction experimentation.
Postdoctoral Associate, Chemistry Machine Learning
Research in the Jensen lab involves flow chemistry, reaction discovery, and application of machine learning to synthetic problems. We worked closely with collaborators in the pharmaceutical industry and MIT's computer science department for development of useful machine learning models in application to drug discovery and synthetic route planning.
Graduate Student, Synthetic Methodology
My Ph.D. focued on reaction development, target synthesis, and computational investigations of BisAMidine (BAM) organocatalysts.- Developed the first enantioselective CO2 capture reaction that uses a Brønsted basic catalyst to stabilize an unfavored carbonic acid intermediate. Mechanistic insight to intermediates and substrate-catalyst complexes were investigated using pKa titrations, ReactIR, and 19F DOSY.- Developed a new enantioselective nitrogen cyclization that produces cyclic ureas (5 and 6 membered).- Applied the urea cyclization methodology to a small-molecule target synthesis that requires the stereocenter set by this methodology.- Used DFT calculations to aid in substrate-based new reaction development. DFT studies also led to rationalization of substrate/product binding and hypotheses on stereochemical influence of the hydrogen bonding BAM catalysts.
Graduate Teaching Assistant
