As the Stock and Accounts clerk I was in control of data entry and supporting the five boutiques across Australia with inventory management. This included entering stock, straps, gifts with purchases and repair invoices. I was also looked after stock transfers between the boutiques, not only managing our system, but the brands' online portals as well.My role also involved working with the General Manager to manage purchase orders, back orders and engaging with the Brand Representatives to ensure the watches arrived in a timely manner. Working with the 19 brands, I maintained stock levels across the boutiques, while making sure the stock purchased was current. Through the analysis of sell-out and liaising with the Boutique Managers I kept the core ranges up to date and current. I also aided our Financial Controller with Accounts Payable duties and additional office related tasks.

Watches of Switzerland is a family owned business which allows people to indulge in the luxuries of watches such as; Rolex, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, Breitling and IWC. Princess Jewellery sold their business to Watches of Switzerland in February 2015, and I maintained my position in the new company.My role as Sales Associate was to provide exceptional customer service, highlighting the luxury of our time pieces by creating a unique buying experience, tailored to the individual.Skills required for the role vary from practicing professionalism through applied product knowledge, adaptation of various sales techniques and utilising my conversational Japanese when required.I also handled the after sales servicing and repairs for our clients, by liaising with various brand service centres. Clear communication and an understanding of the customers needs is key to successfully providing the highest standard of service. Negotiation skills are just as well practiced in the after sales, as in the sales process.

In May 2016 I accepted an Environmental Officer role in a team within the Minerals and North Queensland Compliance in the Environmental Services and Regulation sector of the DEHP (Queensland Government). My role was to assist the other officers with data entry from water samples from a time sensitive contaminated and abandoned mine site, while aiding in research for solutions to prevent further pollution. I also created maps of the mine site, using my GIS skills, illustrating the various water routes and pipelines. The contract however was only for 6 weeks, and at that time I was also offered a full-time position in Melbourne with WOS, and I then resigned from my position and a possible 3 month extension with the DEHP.

During my Masters of Natural Resource Management, I joined CAFNEC as a volunteer while contributing to raising awareness for Spectacled Flying Foxes in Cairns, over a 6 month placement.I assisting with the production of informational brochures/flyers and updating CAFNEC's flying-fox webpage for the purpose of community education for the Cairns CBD. This was in the lead up to the Cairns Regional Council’s decision to manage the flying fox colony on Abbot Street and update report on current situation.Skills which I exercised during the placement included: independent research, design and product development (for the flyer), stakeholder liaison and negotiation, applying for grants and project management skills.
