INCOMERA, established as an ERA-NET project supported by the European Commission, is an initiative of governmental R&D&I funding bodies in Germany, Greece, Iceland, Tuscany, Veneto and Piemont (Italy), Flanders and Wallonia (Belgium), Alsace and Nord-Pas-de-Calais (France), Hungary, Israel, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Andalusia, Galicia and Valencia (Spain) and Turkey. The objective of INCOMERA is to bridge the gap between proof of concept validated in a laboratory, and industrialisation and commercialisation. Projects funded with INCOMERA should take up results at laboratory level and bring them to the level of a pilot-line and/or to a functional demonstrator validated by end-users. More specifically INCOMERA funds projects with at least one of the following action lines: Product innovation,Innovation process,Understanding the Innovation. History: February 20, 2017: LABCITIES announced the final selection of 7 subject-matter experts that entered the team.March – September 2017: The LABCITIES team worked hard by almost bi-weekly skype conf calls on the best solution to the challenge.September 30, 2017: The final submission deadline for the challenge..Finally by 5 team members (i was the only "female" attendant with 4 "male" colleagues)October 2017 – March 2018: All eligible and complete entries will be assessed by an Expert Academic Panel, a group of leading academics, working in relevant fields, all appointed by the Foundation.April 2018: A long list of selected entries will be presented to the Prize Competition Jury, who will review these entries and produce a short list. Shortlisted candidates will be notified at the beginning of October and invited to a final judging day in Stockholm. Shortlisted participants will be asked to present their award entry on the judging day. The final results of the competition are expected to be announced in April 2018.
