And I fell in love with coding. I started my career with a 3-month contract at Coca-Cola Bottling as one of the engineers writing small programs to move payroll systems from Mainframe to Windows. At the time I couldn’t have imagined how that short contract would jump-start my career (and change my personal life). I got to be a part of an incredible journey of moving from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud, transitioning all tech to a centralized tech stack operated by The Coca-Cola Company, launching mobile apps, introducing Agile, and much more. This was where I got my first taste for product. And this was also where I met my husband. Next, I had the opportunity to work in a tech company, where I discovered 1. I thrive in technical environments. 2. I love chatting with users. 3. I really really love product space. I got to work with a central platform team reducing friction for engineers, a data team creating the first set of DEI dashboards, a video team, and everything in between. RV also offered me a unique platform to meet some of the smartest people I know, learn from the best, and openly discuss social causes important in our society.Continuing my journey with Swell I continued to hone my skills this time managing a suite of applications and working with cross-functional teams. I learned much more about VPPs and renewable energy space.
