I forecasted and reported on revenue and capacity.

As an international financial services provider Siemens Financial Services supplies financial solutions for both Siemens and business-to-business customers.At Siemens I was part of a team that funded loans to mostly captive borrowers (other branches of Siemens that provided communications equipment, healthcare machinery, etc.). We also funded aircraft loans, participated loans, bought discounted paper from other lenders and financed titled vehicles, such as buses. In this role my task was to coordinate the closing of the loans to which I was assigned, from making sure each credit requirement was satisfied to assisting in the negotiation of terms, documenting those terms and finally sending the wire to the appropriate parties once completed.

CIT provides commercial financing, lending, leasing and advisory services to small and middle market businesses and the transportation sector. CIT bought the equipment finance arm of CitiCapital in 2007 and moved operations to Jacksonville, FL. I remained at the closed office on a consulting basis to help ensure a smooth transition, fielding calls from vendors and new employees who were unfamiliar with our processes and relationships.

CitiCapital was the commercial leasing arm of Citigroup Inc., which provided financing for various business lines throughout the United States and Canada, but which began to discontinue operations in 2007. At CitiCapital I managed all aspects of the vendor relationship, interfacing with the legal, credit and documentation departments to ensure final adjudication on each transaction. I reviewed initial credit, calculated lease rates and payments on products for Fortune 500 companies. In 2007 CIT bought this arm of Citicapital and moved operations to Jacksonville, FL.

United Parcel Service of North America, Inc., typically referred to and branded as UPS, is the largest shipment and logistics company in the world.At UPS I managed a team of 10 drivers who were responsible for delivering priority packages before 8am daily. Each morning I would receive a manifest from the airport, detailing the number of packages and the addresses to where each was to be delivered. I would use this manifest to create routes for the drivers that same morning and would then send two drivers to the airport to claim the shipment and then meet me and the remaining drivers to separate the packages based on the routes I had planned. Each morning, before the team left the facility, we would have a warm-up meeting to discuss safety, timeliness and customer service. Each week I did a ride along with one of the drivers to observe and grade their use of our safety guidelines and overall effectiveness and would then meet with them to give them my feedback.

The United States Army is the largest branch of the United States Armed Forces that performs land-based military operations. I joined the Army as a Combat Engineer and was trained and outfitted accordingly but when I reported to my company in Kuwait I found their Logistics Specialist returning to the states and that I was to be his replacement. I had to learn their systems and accounting "on the job" as well as manage the expectations of an entire company of soldiers I had never met, most of whom outranked me. When the United States invaded Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, I performed combat duties on the road to Bagdad as well as logistic operations once we arrived.
